New Music: “No More”

A little over a month since my last track was uploaded I am back with another and I proudly present “No More”.

The track is, as usual, available to download for free via two mediums:

SoundCloud (.mp3 file)

BandCamp (.wav file)

As you can probably guess from the image associated with this track, it is dark in content and style and the cornerstone of this track’s tone is the sample used within the intro.

The spoken word sampled is taken from the 1976 film ‘The Omen’ and, is stated by the Omen Wiki site as being a description of “the events that signalled the birth of the Antichrist, Damien Thorn, as well as the fact that Damien would rise to power”.

The poem recited is below in full:

When the Jews return to Zion and a comet fills the sky,
and the Holy Roman Empire rises;
then you and I must die.
From the eternal sea he rises,
creating armies on either shore,
turning man against his brother,
’til man exists no more.

With such a dark subject matter it is little surprise that the track adopted a sinister style and the mood of the track hinges on the dark horn which is akin to the horns of war.

The writing of the track started well for me but soon began to piss me off as I struggled to find a natural progression for it and I found it difficult to create layers that would move the track along. Eventually a change in style midway through the track seemed the most appropriate and it felt natural once written.

Despite feeling frustrated during the writing process I’m very happy with the end result and I hope you like it too.

As usual, please listen to the track, share it, download it and comment on it – let me know what you think, good or bad.

Thanks for reading, thanks for listening. Enjoy.

RUSTY!!!
